American Roots is a high-energy live music experience fronted by Appalachian-Australian entertainer Wynonah Dove and drummer Maurice Rebecchi.
With a repertoire of more than 1200 songs spanning the 1940s to current hits, American Roots delivers everything from country, rock’n’roll and retro classics to dancefloor favourites, pub anthems and crowd singalongs — all with authenticity, personality and serious fun.
Known as a certified “dance floor packer,” the duo reads the room, takes requests and keeps audiences entertained all night long.

Wynonah Dove's music collaborator & partner in crime is drummer, songwriter and vocalist, Maurice Rebecchi. Born in Australia to Italian immigrants, Maurice has been behind the drums since the age of 5 and has consistently performed professionally since the age of 14 - having started in his father's band. His father, Guido Rebecchi, was a gifted showman, sax player & vocalist - hot on the Sydney Italian music scene for decades. A musical family, Maurice also moonlighted in his brother, Laurie Rebecchi's rock'n'roll band, The Bar Studs!
Maurice completed formal studies in drumming including percussion studies and workshops. In his over 35 years experience, Maurice has interests across many genres of music (in both English & Italian) including jazz, pop, country, blues and rock and has entertained in Australia and the US, including studio work and television.
He has supported several Australian and international artists on tour including U.S. based Ladies of Country, Las Vegas tribute "The Ultimate Event": Frank Sinatra, Liza Minelli & Sammy Davis Jr., Las Vegas tributes to Barbra Streisand & Frank Sinatra, and Brady Bunch cast member turned musician, Barry Williams (Greg Brady).
