You thought it would feel like peace.
Like silence. Serenity. White robes and candles and calm.
But enlightenment?
It was the day you screamed into your steering wheel until your throat gave out.
The night your knees hit the floor and you whispered, “I don’t know who I am anymore.”
It was the moment your spiritual bookshelf collapsed under the weight of all the shit that didn’t work.
You didn’t ascend. You unraveled.
And thank gods for that.
Because the truth doesn’t arrive neatly wrapped.
It detonates.
It wrecks you until all the fake things fall off.
And what’s left isn’t better.
It’s just real.
No polished guru voice.
No twelve-step plan.
Just your raw, naked soul finally screaming,
“I’m still fucking here.”
So what if your breakdown wasn’t a failure?
What if it was the door?
The madness that broke you…
was the only thing strong enough
to wake you up.
